Hackney’s Labour Council has forced Colvestone Primary School to close.

Hackney Council have made the wrong decision.
We have joined the Hackney Families campaign to fight to protect Education in Hackney.

Colvestone Primary School is a friendly, close-knit, one-form entry community school with a strong academic record.

The closure of our school will have a hugely negative impact on children, local families and the wider Dalston community – leaving an empty building in the heart of the local area.

We have launched a campaign to save Colvestone from closure.

Colvestone is the only non-denominational primary school in Dalston, and with the proposed closure of De Beauvoir school, parents in this area have few nearby options that are not either religious schools, academies or free schools.

“It's a lovely school at the heart of the community. We need to be encouraging families to stay in Dalston, not reducing family services.”

— Dalston resident

We don’t believe closing Colvestone at this time, is the right thing for Hackney Council to do.

Please sign our petition and together we can let the Council know how the local community feel.
